Destroyed Russian army vehicles to be exhibited in Kyiv central street
Kyiv will not be organising mass events on Ukraine’s Independence Day but will instead hold an exhibition of destroyed Russian military equipment on Khreshchatyk Street.
About 20 pieces of destroyed occupation equipment have already been brought to the central street, Suspilne, Ukraine’s public broadcaster, reported on Monday.
Those include tanks, self-propelled howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, armoured personnel carriers, and the remains of downed missiles.
Khreshchatyk is currently blocked from the intersection of Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street to Independence Square. Traffic in this area will be blocked until 28 August, local authorities warned.
