On August 15, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine opened an exhibition of rescued archaeological treasures. The event was dedicated to the professional holiday of Ukrainian archaeologists, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy reports.

Among the exhibits that can be seen at the exhibition are a silver-decorated belt from the middle of the 3rd century, which is associated with the military culture of the ancient German tribes; Slavic treasure of the 6th–7th centuries from the banks of the Ros River; and a treasure of 3-2 millennia BC. Bronze Age from Ternopil Oblast.

A collection of ancient Roman glassware, a set of ancient Greek helmets, a collection of antique red-figure ceramics and terracotta sculptures from the Crimea, Bronze Age treasures, items from ancient military burials, ammunition of Roman legionnaires, weapons of the Huns, Slavic jewelry, hryvnias from the times of Kyivan Rus and more were shown to the general public for the first time.

Most of the exhibits were seized by law enforcement officers as part of criminal proceedings. The problem of illegal circulation and removal of archaeological treasures from Ukraine became particularly acute after the beginning of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine.

The exhibition will be open for a month, every day, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The address of the museum is Volodymyrska Street, 2.
