In a conversation with LIGA.Life, writer and soldier Pavlo Shykin talked about the history of the book and the challenges, why writers should be less afraid of "uncomfortable" topics, and about the literary scene that needs a new VAPLITE.

"I plan to write a novel in reports about bureaucracy in the army"

- How combining your identity as a soldier and a writer has influenced your approach to writing?

- First, the subject matter has changed. I'm currently working on a thriller about the BZVP, and in the future I plan to start working on a novel about bureaucracy in the army.

The opportunities to work on works have also changed. The service is intense, there is a lot of work, and the victory is still very far away. If I used to be able to write 2000 words a day, now I've started to see 1000 words a week as a pretty good result. But the work is progressing, and soon, I hope, the following works will be published.
