Usyk-Fury: Ukrainian ready for third fight against Briton
Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has said he is willing to fight Tyson Fury for the third time if he returns to the ring. The video was posted by his promotion company Queensberry Promotions on X.
"If Tyson Fury resumes his career, we may organize another fight. No problem, I'm ready," Usyk says, noting that he wouldn't mind fighting even at Old Trafford, the home stadium of Manchester United, which Fury is a fan of.
In January, Tyson Fury announced the end of his professional career after two consecutive losses to Usyk:
On the night of May 19, 2024, a fight between Usyk and Fury took place in the capital of Saudi Arabia, with the Ukrainian winning.
In the December rematch, the judges voted unanimously for Usyk to win.
On July 19, Usyk and Briton Daniel Dubois will have a rematch. The fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion will take place at Wembley Stadium in London.
Previously, Usyk also announced that he was ending his professional career, and his last opponents will be Britons Dubois and Fury.
