After replacing the coat of arms of the Motherland, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War will dismantle other imperial and Soviet symbols on the premises of the complex, reported the Facebook page of the museum.

"The dismantling of Soviet symbols is only one, albeit extremely important, stage of transformation and redefinition of the entire museum. It is, so to speak, its visual part," the message says.

The museum representatives also noted that they plan to change the name and sculptures, update the structure of the museum, and open new exhibition areas. They also want to remove all symbols that broadcast imperial narratives and turn the complex into a museum of Ukrainian memory and victory.
