Ukrainian female entrepreneurs don't wait for better times, they create them themselves. They relocate, open new businesses abroad, use grants, enter the markets of the EU, the USA, or Canada – and all this without losing their team and drive.

From 2021 to 2023, the number of women in business increased by 43%. Most choose the sole proprietorship format and run their businesses independently, without co-founders or large infrastructure. One of them isKateryna Patsanovskaya, founder of the company WeMed, the official distributor of the brand Sensilis and one of the leaders in the aesthetic medicine market in Ukraine. Despite the war and logistical crises, her company grew to an annual turnover of 99 million hryvnias in 2024.
