From October 16, 2025, participation in the Green Card lottery (DV-2027) will become paid – one dollar per application. This is the first change in the conditions in over 30 years. Although the amount is symbolic, the innovation aims to reduce the number of fake and duplicate applications and make the selection process more transparent.
