Honey Savior: the vibrant energy of summer, a healing poison, and an opportunity to take care of yourself

1 August Orthodox Christians celebrate Honey Savior's Day, or, as it is also called, Makoviy, First Spas or Spas on the Water. This is one of the three "Spases" celebrated in August. It was on this day that people usually began extracting honey from the hives, water, poppies, and herbs were blessed, and fresh honeycombs were brought to the church. Also, the Uspensky Fast begins on this day and lasts until August 14th.
Today, when honey can be bought at any time, we think less about its true properties. But in fact, honey and bee products are not only delicious, but also very powerful means of supporting the body.
LIGA.net I spoke with certified apitherapist and beekeeper Inna Stupienko to find out which bee products are worth consuming, how to do it without harming your health, and who should be especially careful.
