Ovarian cancer is called "silent killer" – a insidious disease that can go unnoticed for years. Most women learn about the diagnosis too late, when the tumor has already spread, and treatment becomes difficult and painful.

But the new one research investigation study exploration gives hope: scientists from University of Manchester (Britain) and University of Colorado (The USA) created multi-omics blood analysis, which showed in laboratory tests over 90% accuracy in the detection of cancer in its early stages — when the chance of a full recovery is still very high. This opens up the possibility of detecting the disease even before symptoms appear – and saving lives.

LIGA.net asked oncogynaecologist Oksana Ivina, how revolutionary this method can be, how the new test works, and whether there is a chance that it will appear in Ukrainian clinics.
