From Metallica to AC/DC: Legendary Rock Voices filled the Sports Palace in Kyiv to capacity

The Legendary Rock Voices project was created a year ago, but it has already conquered 43 European cities, gathering over 100,000 viewers. The casting for Legendary Rock Voices was quite rigorous. Only people with classical music education and extensive experience in the field were considered for participation.

Their first concert took place at the Kyiv Palace of Culture in September 2024, and this weekend Legendary Rock Voices filled the Palace of Sports. Kyiv residents and guests of the capital experienced a powerful wave of emotional nostalgia, reliving the brightest moments of their lives in one evening – the first slow dance at a school disco, the first kiss, or the first vacation by the sea.

Legendary Rock Voices – it's not just six main vocalists, it's a show created by more than 100 people. The stage featured a symphony orchestra, a choir, and a rock band. Over 50 kilowatts of sound were used, more than a hundred lighting fixtures were employed, and a unique lighting score was developed.

Metallica and AC/DC, Linkin Park, Rammstein, Nirvana, The Cranberries, Evanescence, and other legendary bands that have become symbols of the happiest moments in life for many of us. Some of these musicians are no longer alive, but their work still gives unique emotions to millions of people around the world. And this evening, the participants of Legendary Rock Voices gave these hits a new life.

The surprise for the Kyiv audience was the star guests who organically joined the Legendary Rock Voices team that evening and took the stage with the project's vocalists and orchestra. An undeniable breakthrough, for the first time in the history of Ukrainian music, announced by five Sports Palaces – Artem Pivovarov. A legend of Ukrainian rock music – Oleh Skrypka. A virtuoso pianist – Yevhen Khmara.

"We created a vocal-symphonic show in which classic rock compositions sounded in a new way – through the prism of a symphony orchestra, live instruments, and genuine emotions. I personally selected the playlist for the concert and chose songs that don't age. And I am very happy that this resonated with Ukrainians!" – comments the project producer Oleksandr Poryadchenko, owner of the ticketing operator Kontramarka.

The next performance of Legendary Rock Voices will take place on November 2nd at the Lviv Opera House. Two concerts are scheduled for the same day, and tickets are almost sold out. After that, the show will go on tour in the Czech Republic, Germany, and France.
