Chernihiv Drama Theater plans to start the theater season on September 15, its artistic director and chief director of the theater Andriy Bakirov told public broadcaster Suspilne.

According to him, there is still no admission to the large hall – complex professional work will be carried out there. However, theater actors will work on the White Stage and part of the repertoire will be transferred there.

It is noted that the White Stage was also destroyed, but the supporting structures were not damaged, and part of the room above the stage itself was saved. The main thing now is to repair the roof, says the director of the theater.

"We will stage concerts in support of our city, in support of Ukraine. Tomorrow, rehearsals of the new play will begin, and we will not cancel them. We must move forward, we must live and work, because only through this we will be able to win." said Bakirov.

On August 19, around 11:30 a.m., Russian terrorists struck the center of Chernihiv. The moment of impact was caught on video.

Russia's attack on Chernihiv likely targeted an exhibition of drone manufacturers.

46 people remain in Chernihiv hospitals. 16 people were operated on. In total, seven people, including a six-year-old child, died as a result of yet another terror attack by the Russians. The total number of wounded is 180 people.
