Due to a fire in the Podilskyi district caused by a Russian missile attack, a local deterioration of air quality was recorded in Kyiv, on Friday, reports the Kyiv City State Administration.

An increase in the concentration of combustion products, in particular suspended particles (dust), was recorded in the northern part of the city. At the same time, exceeding the maximum allowable concentrations of the monitored substances was not detected.

Residents of Kyiv, who are in smoke-filled areas, are urged to do the following until the air quality situation improves:

  • close the windows;
  • limit being outside;
  • drink a lot of water;
  • if there is an air purifier, turn it on to the maximum.

Falling debris was recorded in the Podilskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv. In the Podilskyi district, a fire spread over warehouses as a result. A residential high-rise building caught fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. At another location, parked cars caught fire. 17 people were injured, one died.
