Eight out of ten Bolt users named electric scooters as their favorite mode of transportation for short distances within the city. This is according to the results of an international survey conducted by the company among 2,331 respondents in 13 countries, including Ukraine.

It turned out that more than half – 61% – of users use scooters to get to work or school, while the other half – 40% – use scooters to transfer to public transport. In addition, almost every third respondent uses scooters for everyday errands. Every fifth person uses a scooter for shopping or visiting local establishments.

"Over the past year, the number of scooter rides has increased by 5%. The most rides were made in August – the figure increased by 7% compared to August 2024. The average trip distance is 2.7 km, which indicates the stability in users' habits of using scooters for short-distance travel," says Anton Milk, Head of Sharing Services Development at Bolt in Ukraine.

  • In 2023, the Lviv City Council signed a memorandum regarding cooperation with electric scooter rental operators on new rules for using the transport.
