Lack of sleep directly affects both the youthfulness of the brain and the body's ability to recover, explains somnologist Daria Pylypenko. This primarily refers to chronic sleep deprivation, as a single sleepless night does not have such consequences. Unfortunately, many Ukrainians currently suffer from chronic sleep deprivation.
