LIGA.net has collected Christmas recipes from different regions of Ukraine

Christmas food is not just a daily consumption culture, but a ritual filled with deep meanings. In addition, Christian and pagan symbols are closely intertwined in the Ukrainian tradition, so depending on the region and the available products, the Christmas table also varies. LIGA.net spoke with Vsevolod Polishchuk, culinary expert and author of The Fantastic History of Ukrainian Cuisine, and Larysa Latypova, author of the Gastrosensors project, to find out how the taste of Christmas Eve was formed and what you should try to cook this year.
